Port Authority of New South Wales has several iconic locations available for events, activation and filming hire on non-ship days. These include the Overseas Passenger Terminal Precinct at Circular Quay West and White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle and several other hardstand locations on the Sydney harbour foreshore. All events or activities held within any of Port Authority venues or precincts require prior written approval of Port Authority. A minimum of 30 days’ notice is required to process an application.
The primary purpose of the Port Authority properties and precincts is for cruise or other port operations. This may necessitate cancellation of events if the port operations unavoidably require the space previously identified as available for venue hire. In this event, the full cost of the venue hire will be refunded to the Hirer. The Hirer must, at all times, comply with the security and operational requirements of Port Authority.
Please note two site visits up to a maximum limit of two hours duration to inspect and scope the venue are available upon appointment at no charge. You may also request a further visit to our head office at Level 4, 20 Windmill Street, Walsh Bay to meet with the Venue Manager to finalise event arrangements at no charge.
Any additional site visits are subject to the discretion of the Venue Manager and carry an attendance fee of $90 ex GST per hour payable upfront if a Venue Hire Agreement has not been executed or deducted from the Hirer’s bond at the conclusion of the event, where a Venue Hire Agreement has been executed.
Hire of these venues must be on non-ship days.
