Analysis of noise monitoring data from cruise ship visits has found that noise levels have, at times, exceeded the noise criteria set under Condition D1 of the Project Approval. Port Authority is continuing to work on reducing, as far as possible, noise associated with White Bay Cruise Terminal. This includes the implementation of a Noise Mitigation Strategy.

Noise monitoring reports for cruise ships at White Bay Cruise Terminal (White Bay berth 5) and White Bay berth 4 from October 2018 to March 2020 are available below. The was no monitoring between April 2020 and March 2022 due to ban on cruise ships due to COVID.
