As momentum gains in support of net zero targets, history will show this decade as the time for commitment and action. The NSW Government has committed to cutting greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030 and reaching net zero by 2050.

Port Authority have committed to achieve a 75% reduction in our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and Net Zero by 2040. These ambitious and achievable targets meet or exceed the Science Based Targets Initiative aiming to limit global warming to 1.5oC.
Our Net Zero targets will prevent the same amount of carbon from entering our atmosphere as planting over 90,000 trees – every year!
We have spent the last two years preparing and laying the foundations for this commitment, by delivering an overarching Sustainability Plan in 2020 and undergoing the significant process of measuring our carbon footprint across all operations.
