Enabling safe and secure shipping across the designated ports of NSW, Port Authority facilitates the import of the goods we all rely on and enjoy and the exports that help fuel the economy.
We also manage Sydney Harbour's status as a premier cruise destination and the key port in the Australasian cruise market, and regional cruise across the State generating millions of dollars for the Eden and Newcastle tourism economies.
Port Authority is investing in improving efficiencies with the ongoing development and deployment of OnePort - next generation port management system - across all designated ports and developing and delivering an organisation wide transformation program.
In 2023/24 we:
- Facilitated hundreds of cruise ship visits and 1.36 million passengers, generating $2.76 billion and supporting almost 10,000 jobs for NSW
- Enabled over 5500 ship visits and conducted over 10,000 pilotage movements across all port in NSW
- OnePort became operational in the port of Newcastle, joining Port Kembla and Eden
