Ensuring our people continue to thrive in safe, healthy and supportive work environments now and into the future

As Port Authority, we are building a culture where our values of care, accountability, integrity and collaboration are shared by all employees; where differences are valued and accepted; and where employees are able to achieve their potential and strive for excellence.

Safety is intrinsic to our vision and our purpose, and the safety of our people is paramount, whether that's in the office, out on site undertaking inspections or works, or out on the water keeping the ports of NSW safe, secure and open to the world.

We believe that good corporate governance creates and sustains an ethical and legal environment which recognises the interests of all our stakeholders.

In 2023/24 we:
  • celebrated 10 years together  as a State-owned corporation
  • held the 1st ever Safe and Efficient Port Operations Forum in NSW
  • supported the overall health and wellbeing of our people
  • rolled out First Nations training to all staff, unconscious bias training to all hiring managers, and delivered several leadership development initiatives
  • launched a new onboarding and training platform
  • supported our 5 employee reference groups to deliver a range of D&I events and activities
