Please review the following options to determine if you need to submit an Application for Dive Operations:

All diving operations within 100m of a fairway or channel must submit an application at least 24 hours in advance.

Diving outside 100m of a fairway or channel, with no interaction with commercial vessel operations – No application required.
Diving outside 100m of a fairway or channel, but may interact with commercial vessel operations – Contact Sydney VTS via VHF or phone before commencing the dive; no application required.
Diving on a vessel alongside a designated berth – Submit a Dive Permit through the ShIPS booking system.
Diving within 100m of a fairway or channel – Complete the dive permit application below.

Terms and condition

1. I will ensure that all persons engaged in this work, whether employed directly or on subcontract will execute or on subcontract will execute their duties in a safe manner

2. I understand Sydney VTS may vary/ alter or cancel these dive operations at any time

3. I must contact Sydney VTS before and after actual diving operations (on VHF Channel 12 (Botany) and 13 (Sydney) or via telephone +61 2 9296 4003)

4. I will check shipping traffic for the period and maintain watch for vessel movements in the immediate vicinity

5. By submitting this form, I agree for my personal information to be (i) collected for the purpose of handling my application, and (ii) handled in accordance with Port Authority’s Privacy Statement.
