New videos show passengers how to check in at Sydney cruise terminals

Port Authority of NSW has launched new videos to help passengers cruise in and cruise out of Sydney’s two cruise terminals.

The two new videos aim to help passengers cruise in and cruise out of Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal and White Bay Cruise Terminal.

In each video, passengers are guided through the terminal check-in process from start to finish. They are shown what to do and where to go after they arrive, how to get through the check in and luggage drop-off process, all the way through to boarding their ship and beginning their cruise.

With 350 cruise ships scheduled to visit during the 2017/18 cruise season, Sydney’s two cruise terminals see over 1.5 million passengers go through their doors each year. Some of the biggest cruise ships carrying up to 5,000 passengers each.

With thousands of people embarking in a short space of time, the videos are intended to help passengers understand the check-in process and give them the very best start to their cruise.

The cruise ship industry remains the fastest growing tourism sector in Australia and almost 1.3 million Australians go on a cruise each year.

The 2017-18 cruise season is set to be the most successful ever for NSW with a record 350 cruise ships set to visit Sydney – including eight maiden visits. Regional NSW will also benefit from the cruise boom as more ships than ever before visit destinations outside of Sydney.
