Vintage buses conquer White Bay Cruise Terminal

With Sydney Harbour as the backdrop, White Bay Cruise Terminal provided both an impressive and practical venue for ‘Buses in the ‘Burbs’.

Vintage busTwenty two vintage buses conquered the White Bay Cruise Terminal on Sunday 4 August as part of the event ‘Busn the ‘Burbs’ ran by the Sydney Bus Museum, located in Derbyshire Lane, Leichhardt. The buses were proudly displayed outside the terminal, and new buses arrived and departed throughout the day giving the opportunity to ride and inspect all the buses.

The range of buses included a golden oldie, the Flxible Clipper, imported from the USA by Sir Reginald Ansett’s, Pioneer Tours in 1947 and the Leyland Atlantean double decker which travelled all the way from South Australia.

The number of buses on display meant that the spacious outdoor venue at White Bay was a perfect location to host such an event.
