Radiance of the Seas returns to Port Kembla
Radiance of the Seas, the first ever cruise ship to visit Port Kembla, has received another warm Wollongong welcome on 29 January 2018 as it made its third visit to the Illawarra region.
The Royal Caribbean ship will bring 2,400 passengers to the city and local businesses are gearing up to cater for the influx of visitors. Passengers will be taken to the Wollongong Arts Precinct and a specially held maker’s market where they will be met and assisted by159 volunteer ambassadors who will guide them around the city.
Radiance of the Seas arrived at 0630 and was guided safely into port with the assistance of marine pilots from the Port Authority of NSW.

On 18 March 2018, Explorer of the Seas will bring 4000 passengers to the Illawarra region while Norwegian Jewel and MSC Magnifica cruise liners have announce Wollongong visits in 2019 and 2020.
2017-18 is set to be the most successful cruise season ever for NSW with a record 350 cruise ships set to visit Sydney – including eight maiden voyages — and an increase in visits to regional ports in Port Kembla, Eden and Newcastle.
