The Port Authority of NSW survey team calibrates and maintains tide gauges, anemometers, current meters, and wave-measuring buoys across all major NSW ports.

Shipping operators and meteorologists use data from these sensors daily for navigation and real-time weather-related decisions. The Port Authority sends all tide data to the Bureau of Meteorology, which uses it to generate tide prediction charts.

For tide predictions and tide tables, visit the Bureau of Meteorology.

Access real-time wave, tide, wind, and current data at Wave Wind Tide Current. You can also purchase historical sensor data. The Port Authority survey team manages and maintains over 50 sensors across NSW.

Please note: Port Authority provides contract services for installing and maintaining tide gauges, wave buoys, current meters, and anemometers to support accurate marine project monitoring. Contact us to discuss your project requirements.
