Seafarer Welfare Fund
In February 2024, Port Authority, NSW Ports and Port of Newcastle launched the Seafarers Welfare Fund.
The Seafarer Welfare Fund aims to enable the long-term provision of services, projects and programs in support of the state’s essential seafarer workforce in a productive and sustainable way.
Collectively, the contributing parties will provide an annual combined total of $500,000 to the Fund for the benefit of successful seafarer welfare organisations that demonstrate how they can enhance seafarer welfare in NSW.
Seafarer welfare organisations are invited to submit applications for Round 3 of the Seafarer Welfare Fund.
