Port Matters | Autumn 2025
In this issue, we are excited to announce the launch of our annual Community Grants Program, designed to support the communities where we work. Our ports are strongly linked to our communities and the new program gives us an opportunity to give back to important local initiatives.

Port Matters | Spring 2024
In this issue, we celebrate significant milestones across several of our ambitious projects, each reinforcing our unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation. From awarding the major contract to deliver Shore Power to the White Bay Cruise Terminal, to completing the 12-month restoration of the iconic Hornby Lighthouse, and launching our first major rooftop solar panel system in Newcastle, we are making great strides in improving our infrastructure and reducing environmental impact.
Port Matters | Winter 2024
Our teams continue to be prepared and develop their skills to respond to emergency situations and for good reason. As demonstrated just this week, Port Authority crews on board our new multipurpose firefighting vessel Girawaa supported Fire and Rescue NSW with an onwater response to extinguish a barge fire at Berrys Bay on Sydney’s north shore. Our role was critical in fighting the fire and preventing damage to the historic SS South Steyne ferry berthed nearby.
Port Matters | Autumn 2024
This year Port Authority is celebrating 10 years. It is an important milestone and provides an opportunity to reflect on our history that embodies over 150 years of working ports and to look forward to our ongoing critical role in NSW’s future.
Port Matters | Summer 2024
We started the year with a big splash at the launch of our new vessels, the Burra and Girawaa, our fastest response vessels ever commissioned by Port Authority.
